Your career in Security Studies begins at East Carolina University
Security Studies is an innovative interdisciplinary program that prepares students for domestic and international security careers in government and private sectors. You will learn to analyze complex security problems and understand key issues that form the foundation for today’s comprehensive security policies and practices. There are degree options for undergraduate and graduate students.
The Security Studies Program is housed in the Department of Political Science, but the interdisciplinary curriculum also includes coursework in anthropology, criminal justice, geography, history, international studies, religious studies, and sociology. The program has core faculty with research specializations in homeland security, weapons of mass destruction, terrorism, conflict and peace studies, military technology, and intelligence.
