Certificate Requirements

The Certificate in Security Studies program was designed to be an add-on for students taking a different Master’s program, but it can also be taken as a standalone postgraduate academic program. The Certificate can be completed within a year, assuming course availability and full-time enrollment. It consists of two core courses and three elective courses from a list of electives. Students completing the Certificate can also elect to advance to the Master of Science in Security Studies program and all the credits received in the Certificate will be counted towards the completion of the MSSS.
